The SE-33 Special Edition Series unveils a pinnacle in high modulus carbon frame` construction. Crafted as a single, seamless entity, this frame eschews joints, welds, and glues for a 100% monocoque design through Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM), making it one of the globe’s most featherlight Disc Brake Road frames. The medium size 55, featuring a 548mm Top Tube, astoundingly weighs in at just 750 grams, with the fork tipping the scales at a mere 290 grams for a 300mm steerer.
The RTM process stands as the gold standard for minimising imperfections within the composite structure. This technique involves the high-pressure injection of resin between rigid external and internal moulds, effectively expelling air pockets and eradicating voids between layers. This ensures that the resin flows exclusively within the confines of the meticulously designed moulds, taking on only the intended shapes. As a result, RTM-produced frames boast extremely high-tolerance levels, uniformity, and consistency, delivering a near-finished product of exquisite quality.
